Melody Johnson is an experienced educator, content creator, writer, and author that supports helping young children achieve literacy as quickly as possible with optimized teaching techniques and strategies. She is also the founder of Loving Literacy, a business designed to help kids achieve literacy skills and encourage parents to teach their children in a fun and engaging way!
Melody has a Master's degree in elementary reading, a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education / Special Education, and several certifications in early childhood education and for middle school students. Melody was significantly involved in many childhood education-related projects, with her capstone project being a curriculum design for kindergarteners in her county. She has held several teaching positions across pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade. She was a grade-level chair and served on the leadership team and was on the school governance council and was president of the community outreach.
She currently creates Udemy courses for parents and children, creates curriculum for apps (focused on CCSS Standards), and creates videos for children and parents to help with teaching reading on YouTube and is a blogger for publishing giant McGraw Hill.
She lives in the vibrant city of Alpharetta, Georgia, with her husband, Cleo, and three beautiful children, Jason, Alex, and Alyssa.
